Habitat: Pinyon-juniper-oak woodland. Associated plants: J. deppeana, J. flaccida, Rhus virens, Agave chisoensis, Bouteloua curtipendula. Height: 15 ft. Scattered and uncommon. Several trunks. Bark light gray, shreddy, finely fissured.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
