Habitat: Occasional in Pinus ponderosa - Quercus hypoleucoides woodland on steep igneous slopes in header of mesic high-elevation canyon. Herbaceous associates include Brickellia brachyphylla var. hinckleyi, Bromus polyanthus, Campanula rotundifolia, Euphorbia bifurcata, Geranium cespitosum, Heuchera rubescens, Ipomaea cristulata, Lithospermum multiflorum, Monarda fistulosa var. menthifolia, Panicum bulbosum, Penstemon barbatus, Piptochaetium fimbriatum, Polemonium, pauciflorum ssp. hinckleyi, Salvia arizonica, Sicyos sp., Silene laciniata, Solanum fendleri, Stellaria cuspidata, Thalictrum fendleri, Verbesina oreophila.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
