Lat. 33°56.18'N Long. 116°38.52'W. near White Water, west of Joshua Tree National Park; north of I-10 (just west of junction with CA 62) on Whitewater cut-off, then ca 1.3 km on Whitewater Canyon Road. Desert with Dalea, Opuntia spp., Artemisia, Larrea tridentata. Low shrub ca 1.1 m tall; flowers pinkish-maroon.
